How Rate Matching Works

  1. Consultation: During a short consultation with our payments experts, we’ll learn about your existing setup: how you accept payments, what hardware you use, your card processing rates, etc.
  2. Processor Match: Using the information from the consultation, we’ll curate processors similar to your existing provider. We have a network of 70+ processors on our platform, so there’s a strong likelihood that we can find a near-exact match.
  3. Bidding War: Just as we do with our base service, we’ll ask processors to bid for your business. The competition between processors drives rates down, increasing your ability to negotiate with your existing provider.
  4. Bonafide Quotes: After the dust has settled, we’ll provide you with the three best quotes we found. These will come in the form of merchant applications with the lower rates already filled in.
  5. Present to Processor: Present the quotes to your existing processor. These three applications will be proof that you can receive lower rates elsewhere. Most processors will happily match the rates in the quotes to retain your business. We’re happy to coach you through this step and make sure that your rates decrease as much as possible.
